Health Information Policy

Our standards for health content accuracy, sourcing, and review.

📅 Last updated: June 2026

📋 Curamed is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based health information while being fully transparent about the limitations of AI-generated content.

Our Commitment to Health Information Quality

At Curamed, we take the quality and accuracy of health information seriously. We understand that users may rely on our content to make decisions affecting their health and wellbeing. This policy outlines our standards and approach to health content.

Content Standards

All health information provided by Curamed aims to be:

  • Evidence-based: Grounded in established medical science, peer-reviewed research, and clinical guidelines
  • Accurate: Designed to reflect current medical knowledge to the best of our AI's ability
  • Balanced: Presenting information fairly without promoting specific treatments, brands, or commercial interests
  • Accessible: Written in plain language understandable to the general public, not just medical professionals
  • Transparent: Clear about when content is AI-generated vs. curated by our team
  • Contextual: Providing appropriate context for health statistics and research findings

AI-Generated Health Content

The majority of health guidance in Curamed is generated by AI in real time based on your queries and health data. While we design our AI to be accurate and helpful, AI-generated content has important limitations:

  • It is not reviewed by a licensed physician before delivery to you
  • It may not reflect the most current clinical guidelines or drug approvals
  • It should be verified against authoritative medical sources for critical decisions
  • It is provided for educational purposes only — not for clinical use
  • It cannot account for your complete individual medical situation

Sources and References

Our AI health content is trained on and references established health authorities and sources including:

  • World Health Organization (WHO)
  • National medical and health authorities in relevant jurisdictions
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
  • Peer-reviewed medical journals (PubMed, NEJM, Lancet, BMJ, etc.)
  • National and international medical specialty societies and their guidelines
  • American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and equivalent pediatric bodies
  • International obstetric and gynaecological societies (e.g. FIGO)

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not promote or recommend specific pharmaceutical brands
  • We do not accept payment from healthcare companies to influence our content
  • We do not provide content designed to replace professional medical care
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors
  • We do not claim our AI scanners are diagnostic medical devices

Reporting Inaccurate Information

We take health content accuracy seriously. If you encounter information in our app that you believe is inaccurate, outdated, or potentially harmful, please report it immediately via our Contact page or email health@mycuramed.com. Please include:

  • The specific content you believe is inaccurate
  • Where in the app you found it (which tool or AI assistant)
  • What you believe the correct information to be, with a source if possible

We review all such reports promptly and make corrections when warranted.

Health Information for Serious Conditions

For serious medical conditions including but not limited to cancer, heart disease, diabetes, mental health disorders, pregnancy complications, and pediatric emergencies — always rely primarily on guidance from your treating physician and specialist team. Our app can help you understand your condition, organize your care, and prepare questions for your doctor, but all treatment decisions must involve qualified medical professionals.

Staying Current

Medical science evolves rapidly. New research, updated guidelines, and changing treatment protocols mean that health information can become outdated. We update our AI systems regularly, but we cannot guarantee that all information reflects the very latest research. For rapidly evolving topics, always check with your healthcare provider or authoritative health organizations.
